Important
Information
Although
it is not required by Ontario statute, as a
business matter it is considered prudent to
conduct a search against the proposed Business
Name (prior to registration) to determine if
there are any identical or confusingly similar
names. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the
Corporation will not be precluded by the
Ontario Ministry of Government Services from
registering a business name even if there are
other identical registered Ontario business
names; however, that is a practical business
decision for you to make as to whether you
still wish to proceed with the registration of
the Business Name or select an alternate name.

Registration of a business name under the
Business Names Act (Ontario) does not protect
the business name or give the registrant any
rights to the business name that it does not
